All matches must be completed by September 20th

We want to play as many matches as possible immediately following drawing.  This is not mandatory but encouraged.  During the drawing everyone present will be paired against each other to play as many matches as possible.

 

 

MATCH PLAY RULES

 

Rules of play are the same as club championship, unless both players agree to something else.

This is a 9 hole match play event.  We will use 50% of your established handicap index as of May 22nd, and that will be your playing handicap for the remainder of the tournament.

Tees are played alternate.  All players under 65 will alternate blue and black, to be determined by coin flip on 1st tee.

If playing against a silver/blue player, the senior will alternate between silver and blue.

If playing against a player over 70, the senior will play all silver tees and the other player will play all blue tees.  No tee rotation.

 

Flip a coin at #1 to determine honors, and winner gets to pick either tee order or which tee box to play first.  Other player gets option of the other choice.

 

If there is a tie after 9 holes it becomes sudden death with the strokes on the same holes. 

We need preferably both phone number and email address.  The tournament committee has the right to adjust any handicap that may not have enough scores to be verifiable. 

There will be given no more than 1 stroke per hole.

The order of handicap holes is as follows: 8, 5, 1, 2, 7, 4, 9, 3, 6

To determine the number of strokes take the playing handicap, subtract the low from the high to determine strokes.  Round off to the nearest half stroke.  This is an MGA sponsored event so all players must be a member of the MGA.
